10 things girls discuss or do when they meet!

Inspired by a recent blog post I read somewhere I thought I might as well come up with something more interesting than the usual stuff I write. Boys for that matter are very eager to know what exactly do girls discuss when they meet that their conversations never seem to end. A friend of mine the other day said that girls only like to keep bitching about other girls and crib about their boyfriend. Instead of fighting or denying my friend’s statement I thought I might as well come up with a blog post about what girls really talk about when they meet up based on personal experience and a few borrowed statements from my girl friends ofcourse.

A few things that girls discuss & do when they meet : -

1.       Clothes : Mostly if you’re one of those 95% girls who are obviously conscious about what they wear or keep checking out what others wear then you are bound to discuss clothes. Usually when a guy and a girl hangout together and if the boy seems pretty amazed if his girl is looking at another chick – boy she isn’t checking her out she’s probably just looking at the girls outfit and developing a feedback in her mind. Girls usually check out what other girls or their girlfriends are wearing if they like it they’ll give an honest opinion about it, if she doesn’t she will obviously give out her blunt opinions or atleast ridicule the opposite person’s dressing sense in her mind if not verbally!

2.       Shopping : Yes girls discuss about all the shopping they did since their last meeting and sometimes they might even carry the stuff they shopped for to show their girl friends.

3.       Boyfriends / Guys :  Girls usually discuss about their boyfriends. They discuss about what their boyfriends did, where they went with their boyfriend and what all he did for her. There is a constant comparison with each others boyfriends. Not only that, girls also discuss about their latest crushes, the cute guy they saw in the gym or at work and the number of guys who approached her and asked her out.

4.       Studies : Yep its not only shopping or guys that girls discuss about. Girls also discuss studies and share notes, etc . Sometimes they even end up studying together.

5.       Bitching : Yes, girls do bitch about other mean girls..specially the ones who are full of attitude.

6.       Facebook : Girls surf facebook and pictures of guys and girls and discuss what they think about the guy’s or girl’s pictures, etc.

7.       Click Pictures : Girls click about 100’s of pictures but only put a few of them on facebook because mostly the pictures are for memoriessss & not to be shared on a social networking website.

8.       Movie : When girls get together they watch movies. Specially movies like American Pie  or Sex & the city kinda movies..

9.       Eat : Yeah girls just keep eating anything and everything when they are together. They dun care if they will put on weight because they believe it’s a day off for them and they can eat as much as they want without worrying about the weight!

10.   Stay awake : Girls are super excited when they meet so they end up staying awake till 3 or 4 am in the morning and then they suddenly get exhausted and crash!!

Last but not the least girls do discuss about the 3 letter word smart enough people can understand the hint ;)  lol…
I think its enough for now & next time I think I should come up with a boy’s related post ;) ciao!

My Usual Chatterings

As we grow each day we are burdened with numerous responsibilities and tasks.  We get busy in a different world altogether where we have targets, goals, wants, needs & desires. Life changes slowly as you step towards the ladder of corporate world where you will find people who will become your best of friends and a few others who may want to always bring you down due to their own selfish desires to go ahead and achieve success. The best technique however to follow is to be equal to everyone and just concentrate on what you do and not what others do. If you start comparing yourself with others or complaining about others, believe me it isn’t going to do any good.

I have recently started working for a Media & Entertainment Company – finally stepping up the corporate ladder, however I miss Ogilvy.  Life for sure changes once you start working – now I realise how difficult it becomes to balance the personal and work life. I always fought with my friends that they showed off and purposely kept saying they were too busy with work. Now I actually understood how difficult it is after stepping into the same shoes. Yeah I’ve to eagerly wait for the weekends to arrive lol!!

Last week I had the opportunity to witness the first TVC shoot of my life – it was for a giant electronic brand endorsed by Kareena Kapoor. Yess!! I met the Bebo of Bollywood who’s endorsing this new hair grooming / curling machine, the TVC for which is going on air in August. I have only one word for that lady “GORGEOUS”. I however unfortunately couldn’t get a chance to click a picture with her. Talking about celebrity well I did feel a pinch of attitude in her but then again after being so successful anyone would have a wee bit of attitude no?

The Heroine Trailer has been released and to me it looked more like a copy of Fashion, Chameli & The Dirty Picture. What exactly the movie is about and how it is will only be known after watching it but so far the story seems pretty predictable and I  won’t be surprised if it actually turns out something like The Dirty Picture. Its Bollywood afterall!

Other than the usual stuff,  it’s the holy month of Ramadan and touch wood so far there was no problem fasting hoping the same for the rest of the month. Social life has been killed for a while, this month is only dedicated to the Almighty.

Life’s hectic yes it is!! For now its time to pack up  ;) ciao!

My Random thoughts

Sometimes its so hard to pen down your thoughts because even words aren’t enough to describe the way you feel.  Last 2 years were the most exhaustive years of my life and in a way I enjoyed every bit of it. Spending more than 12 hours in college and then working on presentations late nights is something which I am surely going to miss. Being that one girl in the guys group and then being burdened by the presentation work pressure (yeah happened a lot since guys don’t work they try to give excuses and then butter you up!) is surely going to be missed. Those class group outings, those Industrial tours, being punished, being thrown out of class … I’m surely going to miss college life and college friends.

Now that I have got some free time for myself I’ve been lazing around  and doing all sort of crazy and stupid things… from nothing to everything. I guess sometimes a vacation really brings you back to life but I guess its time now to end this vacation and start doing something more useful and productive which is going to help me out, so yes time to fix myself up and get going!

I finally joined Pinterest and love how I can see the exalted talent filled in people, I wish I was as talented as some of the photographers and creative people I see on and around the Internet ( FB, Twitter, Pinterest, etc)

I remember I had made a blog post a few months back about Facebook vs Google + , I still stick by my opinion and even noticed responses of people supporting the same. Google +  hasn’t been able to catch up and compete Facebook but one thing I’ve realised over the time and my existence on the web 2.0 that Twitter for sure has become quite famous and has generated quite a lot of fans. A lot of my friends who joined twitter recently have totally  got themselves addicted to it and I guess they visit twitter more often than they visit Facebook these days.

But Facebook and Twitter are on different levels I suppose and they’re going to be that way, currently my favourite “Twitter” !

That’s all for now!

The Cooking Mood

Its kinda weird how i always felt so lazy at the thought of cooking something. All i knew was making tea and a scrambled egg or an omlet, last but not the least rotis.

These days my kitchen has become a favourite and so has cooking. I've been trying out new recipe's to kill the idle time, yeah am currently unemployed ..grrrr i so hate it. So to kill the lots of free and idle time that i have right now i decided to try my hand at cooking for a change and let others eat for that matter.

So i tried a few cakes and I also bumped into Pinterest omg!!! i didn't know i could get awesome recipes out there :P so now i think am going to be baking more often.

Apart from baking i've also been making stuff like cheese corn samosas, chicken & corn fritters & chicken bread, next i think i'm going to try  chinese too.

Lets see how long am going to stick onto this cooking habit ;)
Hehe ... will post soon with pics next time ciao!

Is the World really safe?

Everyday we  feel good about the city we stay in thinking how safe it is from others until we hear of some heinous crime again. Mumbai has been a victim quite a number of times yet the security system isn’t like it should be. The other day I was watching Crime Patrol where it showed how a teenage kid was badly hit on the road which lead to his death on the spot.

This city has been a victim to terrorist attacks, bomb blasts and what not. Even after so much happening I wonder what the government does and why isn’t the security system upto date. Talk about technology and the changes in the city, there’s too much but how is it helping if the city isn’t safe?

People are being killed in broad daylight and no-one does anything about it. A stupid kid like the American citizen Dharun Ravi bullys his friend to such an extent that the poor kid commits suicide and all the Judge does is give him a 30 day imprisonment punishment, is that all ?

My bro calls me up yesterday from London and tells me about how a man was stabbed to death outside his house in broad day light.

Africa, America, London, India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Australia – which place is safer? Everywhere people commit crimes, some get arrested some commit more crimes and murder more people. Can we walk  freely without the fear of being kidnapped, raped or murdered?

What has happened to the world? We talk about education, development, liberalisation , democracy then what is happening? Why after all this there is still so many crimes, rapes & murders?

What are the people who take responsibility for their countries doing? I only keep wondering and think again Is the world we live in really safe?

MBA life ends

Since i haven't written any post for a while i thought i'll just write a small post today. So finally College life comes to an end and  looking forward to a new beginning. I can't believe MBA life of 2 years passed as if it were 2 months!

I recall how everyday we kept cribbing about our projects and presentations but somehow we just managed to balance our life + sleep ( 2-3 hrs at times) and social life (which was almost dead) lol..
Friends kept abusing of having build up an attitude and not having time for them. I'm sure they'll know the pressure when they are in the same shoes.

Now looking forward to where life takes me. Couldn't feel more happier for having been blessed with the best.
Thank you everyone for your support , Special thanks to my lovely Parents :)

Happy 2012!

Its been a while since I last blogged, Life’s been like a rollercoaster ride, fast and upside down. A lot has been happening lately and I haven’t been able to sit and give time to myself.

We are in 2012, A lot of people say the world will come to an end in the year 2012, but I don’t believe that because for me all the best things appear to be happening in 2012. People keep new year resolutions and then they break them too. After all “Rules are meant to be broken and so are resolutions” that’s the dialogue they frequently use. I don’t have no resolutions because for me nothing much has changed. However, I’d like to watch as many movies as I can this year and enjoy every moment of my life and cherish the memories I make this year.

I’ve been pursuing my internship which comes to an end this month. It has been a great experience but exhaustive too. I have been working Mon-Fri and Sat-Sun been attending college, so there hasn’t been much time for myself or for rest, Planning to take a break after my Internship.

Life changes as we step up another ladder towards the Corporate World!
