I miss blogging

It's been 3 years since i last blogged. I thought about starting a new one but then decided on keeping this one.

This blog has been a place where i shared my thoughts and experiences for years, it has been my go to place when i felt low or happy or wanted to share an achievement.

3 years later and so much has changed. Life sure does teach a lot. It is crazy how time flies and how it changes you as a person. I am now a mother to a beautiful 18 month old daughter. I am trying to set up a small business and I couldn't be more proud of my achievements. It isn't easy, life truly isn't! But how you spin it is in your hands.

I have now moved to Cary, North Carolina.  Being a mom to a toddler is not easy but i'm hanging in there. Watching her grow up is exciting.

I may not have been writing much but definitely planning to change that starting from today and i mean it this time!

Life & Challenges

We have our shares of ups & downs in life. In life we meet people from different culture & backgrounds, we like some we dislike some.  It is not possible to please everyone all the time, some people may not get along well with us & we got to accept that.

I've met a lot of people in the last few years, people from different backgrounds, religion & countries. Even though we are different, there is one thing which is present in every indiviual i've met over the period of years. No matter how strong or straight forward a person is, even after claiming themselves to be strong & different from others - there is still some bit of emotion which breaks them and makes them a little helpless at times. I think "emotions" are something no1 can run away from.

In the past 3 months my life has changed completely - From the feeling of helplessness its switched to a feeling of awesomeness. Yes finally i've started working as a Social Media Executive & I am enjoying every bit of my work, feels like i am blessed,Alhamdulilah.

I think everything happens for a reason, we go through bad times which help us in our endeavors in life. Time heals everything, i guess i believe the same happened with me, I am now doing what i always wanted to do and things are fantastic!

The only thing i miss the most is college life & i guess those days will be the most cherished days of my life.

Right now the only plan is to learn & step up slowly, try to make myself better & perfect each day & take everyday as a challenge.

My Usual Chatterings

As we grow each day we are burdened with numerous responsibilities and tasks.  We get busy in a different world altogether where we have targets, goals, wants, needs & desires. Life changes slowly as you step towards the ladder of corporate world where you will find people who will become your best of friends and a few others who may want to always bring you down due to their own selfish desires to go ahead and achieve success. The best technique however to follow is to be equal to everyone and just concentrate on what you do and not what others do. If you start comparing yourself with others or complaining about others, believe me it isn’t going to do any good. 

I have recently started working for a Media & Entertainment Company – finally stepping up the corporate ladder, however I miss Ogilvy.  Life for sure changes once you start working – now I realise how difficult it becomes to balance the personal and work life. I always fought with my friends that they showed off and purposely kept saying they were too busy with work. Now I actually understood how difficult it is after stepping into the same shoes. Yeah I’ve to eagerly wait for the weekends to arrive lol!!

Last week I had the opportunity to witness the first TVC shoot of my life – it was for a giant electronic brand endorsed by Kareena Kapoor. Yess!! I met the Bebo of Bollywood who’s endorsing this new hair grooming / curling machine, the TVC for which is going on air in August. I have only one word for that lady “GORGEOUS”. I however unfortunately couldn’t get a chance to click a picture with her. Talking about celebrity well I did feel a pinch of attitude in her but then again after being so successful anyone would have a wee bit of attitude no? 

The Heroine Trailer has been released and to me it looked more like a copy of Fashion, Chameli & The Dirty Picture. What exactly the movie is about and how it is will only be known after watching it but so far the story seems pretty predictable and I  won’t be surprised if it actually turns out something like The Dirty Picture. Its Bollywood afterall!

Other than the usual stuff,  it’s the holy month of Ramadan and touch wood so far there was no problem fasting hoping the same for the rest of the month. Social life has been killed for a while, this month is only dedicated to the Almighty.

Life’s hectic yes it is!! For now its time to pack up  ;) ciao!

The Fall

Yesterday was supposed to be the biggest day of my life, I worked so hard for it and even after almost winning I still lost. I read this poem somewhere and I’d like to share it with everyone out there because when I was all low last night this poem just made me realize that there will be many such instances in life and there will be a lot of people to try to bring you down but its only you who can hold and keep yourself going and try and get there


Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,

The truth about certain personalities just comes out instantly, I just wish I can hold on and fight till the end and achieve what I want and love the most!

People who shape our lives

When you first meet a person you start perceiving things about him. These perceptions with time prove either right or wrong.

Most of the times what we think about the person before knowing him turns out totally opposite when we get to know him personally. A person who looks cold hearted, rude and hot headed turns out to be someone as soft as a cotton. Sometimes people whom we hate in the beginning become our favorite and most loved. Our parents, who scold us, criticize us when we do wrong don't do it because they want to hurt us, they do it because they want us to learn. If nobody cared we would never know where we went wrong and where are we supposed to work on ourselves.

Similarly, Teachers are our second parents, they love us just the way our parents do. They take care of us, scold us, criticize us, love us and support us. Our life wouldn't be worth a penny had they not been there for us. Whatever we are today and whatever we will be in future is and will be only because of our teachers/mentors. The way our parents teach us to walk holding our hand our teachers make us walk to compete against the world, to fight, to be different . While doing this they inculcate ethics and values in us. Mostly teachers who are very strict with their students are also ones who love them the most. They shape our lives and try to make it perfect from each angle.

A Teacher is someone who is a guide,support,counselor and motivator to each one of us. More than all of this a teacher is a friend. They guide us towards the right path, motivate us to do better. It is they who make us believe in ourself, they who teach us to keep trying and believe in us. Most of the times, we try harder to achieve a goal just because we know that if we didn’t they would be more hurt than us. When we bring smile on their face it is the moment of satisfaction, we feel we actually achieved something. Their immense faith and trust in us is what makes us work hard and do better each day.

Just like Parents love us unconditionally, our teachers do the same. No matter what you do, they’ll always be there to love you, hold your hand and teach you which path to take. Always there to give you that extra push needed when you think you “can’t” and when they make you believe u “CAN”.

Life

Why do people ever argue? Why are there times when even after having immense trust on someone we fail to believe that person? Why do sometimes even after knowing a person in and out, we doubt if we really do? Why does life sometimes seem so painful?


Life gives us many such experiences when people we know suddenly turn out to be totally unknown to us. A person may sometimes exhibit certain qualities which is absolutely unrelated to his/her personality. It is very difficult to differentiate between people like these and those who are genuine and fake.


A lot of times we refrain from speaking the truth because it would hurt people around us, but we fail to realize that by not conveying the truth we are being enemies of our loved ones ourselves. A person who speaks the truth to his/her friend is a true friend. A Friend would never lie to you,if something is not right a friend says that it isn’t and not lie just to make the other person happy.

Sometimes truth comes in between people and thus gives birth to altercations. Sometimes these altercations get so worst that it becomes very difficult to instill the feeling of positiveness and friendliness back again into people. We often have altercations/arguments with our friends,parents, siblings or our better half. Most of the times this takes place due to misunderstandings, also when there are people you know in and out and suddenly you discover the person to be a fake. The trust factor gets a beating here, everything slows down and then you start wondering if people really are trustworthy or worth believing in.



Life isn’t a bed of roses, even if we believed this statement, it wouldn’t be true because every rose carries a thorn in itself, it grows with a thorn and in the end the thorn can leave a scar. No matter how long it takes, a wound will heal after sometime but a scar never heals, a scar remains for life.


In life, we should always make sure that we do not hurt anyone by our actions or words. Like Time once gone never comes back, words and actions are two things which we would never be able to undo and erase no matter how badly we would want them to and a scar left once will never leave.

So whatever one does, at the end of the day try to erase all the bad or negative things out of your system and live with the memories which bring a smile on your face, because life is too short to cry over what happened, the best way to live is to forgive , forget and move on.
